I held this brain tumor model up to the scar on my left temple and wondered how something this big could exist in my brain and I did not know about it. How the hell could that happen? It blows me away. I also thought about the fact that this tumor grew from just a single cell mutation that did not work correctly. It started at a microscopic level, went undetected for 5-10 years, and then grew to something of this size.
