5 days after brain surgery. Just a few hours after being released from NYU, Doug Rutherford visited me in my apartment. Doug and I have been together in everything from youth soccer to high school band to championship drum & bugle corps to founding a software company. That Doug would travel all the way from Virginia to see me says much about the depth of our lifelong friendship.
