1 day after brain surgery. The bag on the left side of my head was a drainage system leading from inside my brain. This was needed because of swelling issues from all the trauma of surgery. It was regularly emptied by doctors/nurses for about 4 days. It was taken out when I left the hospital. Drugs were then used to deal with brain swelling.
