This photo was taken on 2/10/07. We did know this at the time, but this was just 4 months before her 6/7/07 brain surgery. To further our mutual status as Brain Tumor Twins, we were both fortunate enough to have the same neurosurgical team at NYU, led by Dr. Patrick J. Kelly. Medical recommendations from around the world said not to do this surgery because of the risks involved, but if there was anybody who could do this type of surgery, everyone pointed us to Dr. Kelly.
