The 10th Annual “Race for Hope” was held in Washington, DC on 5/6/07. This is an event to raise money and awareness for brain cancer. When I arrived, there were perhaps tens of thousands of people there and I hopped in line to get my race jersey. Within 10 minutes, Cheryl Royce and I ran into each other, just by chance. This is the second year in a row that we have run into each other like this at the Race for Hope without even planning it. Cheryl is the famed CRNP at NIH/NCI/NOB (National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute/Neuro-Oncology Branch). We see each other every two months and her positive attitude about helping with brain cancer matches her professional skills. I really love Cheryl. She is a joy to see.
