Vera Hirschmann (RN3, CNRN), who moderates the Inova Brain Tumor Support Group which meets each month in Fairfax, Virginia. I first met Vera when I was checked into the Emergency Room at the Fairfax Inova Hospital and was diagnosed with brain cancer on 12/6/04.

This photo was taken at the 11/12/06 Brain Tumor Awareness Day (BTAD) at NYU. Vera is so dedicated to her profession that she spent a full Sunday learning about brain cancer treatments while on a weekend getaway to NYC.
