| I always stick around after my MRI has been done and look over the shoulder of the MRI technicians. I want to see my MRI results as they load this information onto the Local Area Network. I even ask the MRI technicians if I can view the FLAIR sequence, right there in real time. I now understand that the FLAIR sequence is the best indicator of tumor growth. Knowing what my FLAIR sequence basically looks like, I can pretty easily tell if there has been significant growth or not. It is like getting a bit of "inside scoop" prior to meeting with my neuro-oncologist, Dr. Howard A. Fine. |
