When the catheter is inserted correctly, it does not hurt as I move around afterwards. However, if it is not inserted correctly, I can immediately feel it. It would hurt to do anything other than to keep my arm 100% still. I now know to speak up if I feel discomfort after the catheter is inserted. I typically switch arms each time I get a Perfusion MRI, just to even out the cumulative scarring on both arms.
