| 6 days after brain surgery, this is what I looked like as I changed
bandages. A pressure ulcer on my forehead, band-aids on 4 Head Frame lock-down points, 47 staples to hold my scalp together, yellow liquid stains from
sterility fluids, Dr. Kelly's initials on my cheek, and some sort of ink
circle on my scalp. (I can only assume the circle was for positioning some
tool during surgery). |
