This photo was accidentally discovered by Doug Rutherford (who at the time was assistant director of the Garfield Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps) years after it took place. I am so happy for this serendipity, because it reminds me of things I love – friends, excellence, and loud-as-hell brass music!
